Ismail has led the expansion of Plug and Play to Toronto. Ismail’s background consists of experience in all stages of the startup life cycle — at early stage and late stage startups. He’s worked at high growth scale ups, and, also soon to be unicorns. Ismail has also been a part of early stage and late stage focused venture capital funds.
More recently, Ismail was one of the early 8 VC Fellow’s at Blitzscaling Ventures, a late-stage VC firm that backs startups in global winner-take-most markets. The firm’s partners include Chris Yeh, Scott Johnson, and Jeff Abbott, and it’s advised by Reid Hoffman (Co-Founder of LinkedIn). During his tenure with the firm, he focused on covering the Pakistan, Canada, and Africa markets.
Ismail’s network is highly active in the tech ecosystem, spanning relationships across North America, Latin America, Europe, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.
