Q: What is CIX Summit Powered by Elevate?

The CIX Summit, powered by Canadian non-profit Elevate, is an annual conference showcasing Canada’s most promising early stage and scaling startups. With over 250 curated startups, many of whom are showcased through The CIX Startup Awards, the CIX Summit attracts North American VCs, corporates, private equity investors and provides the tools to network, build new relationships and increase deal flow.

Q: Where does CIX Summit take place?

CIX Summit is hosted at Elevate’s office, the Design Exchange, located at 234 Bay St., Toronto, ON.

Q: When is CIX Summit taking place?

CIX Summit will run from March 26 – 27, 2024..

Q: Is CIX Summit an all ages event?

All attendees must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to attend CIX Summit and all related events, unless otherwise stated. Some events may require attendees to be nineteen (19) years of age or older.

Q: I have accessibility requirements, who can I reach out to?

Elevate is committed to making CIX Summit accessible and welcoming for everyone. Please let us know of any accessibility accommodation(s) you need to enjoy your experience by emailing us at events@elevate.ca. While we will do our very best to accommodate all requests, requests made after February 23rd, 2024 may be more difficult to accommodate due to time constraints.

At this time, Elevate will not be providing ASL interpreters for CIX. Please email us at events@elevate.ca with any questions/concerns.

Q: What are CIX Summit’s COVID policies?

Elevate cares about the health and safety of our attendees and volunteers and works to provide a COVID safe environment. While Elevate does not require masks at CIX Summit, we are a mask-friendly space and encourage attendees to do what will make them feel most comfortable. We will continue to provide hand sanitizer on site, ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing practices are implemented and encourage frequent hand-washing.

Q: I’m feeling unsafe, who should I speak to?

If someone is harassing you or otherwise making you uncomfortable, please notify an Elevate staff member or security. 

Elevate does not tolerate violence, mistreatment, or harassment — verbal, physical, sexual, or otherwise — towards staff, volunteers, sponsors, guests, presenters, or other attendees at any of our events. Should the comfort or safety of any of our stakeholders be in question, immediate action will be taken.

Q: Can I refund my pass?

Once you have purchased your CIX Summit Pass, you are not eligible for a refund. 

If you wish to change the name on your CIX Summit Pass, you will be able to do so until March 15, 2024 at 5:00 PM (EST) which will be facilitated free of charge, after which date you will be unable to transfer your ticket.

Q: I need to make a change to my personal information on my ticket, how can I do this?

Any changes to your personal information has to be done through the registration platform. Check your confirmation email for a link to update/edit information. 

Q: Can you help me get a visa to attend CIX Summit?

A: You may request a visa invitation letter once you have purchased a ticket to CIX Summit by completing our request form.

Please note that in the event that an attendee’s visa is not granted, you are not eligible for a refund. At our discretion, we may transfer your ticket to the following year. 

Elevate is not liable or responsible for any costs incurred by you attending CIX Summit, which includes but is not limited to travel, accommodation, hospitality, and any other expenses. You are solely responsible for your own travel, accommodation, hospitality, and any other expenses required for you to attend CIX.

Q: Where will I be able to pick up my badge?

Badges can be picked up at the Design Exchange, 234 Bay St., Toronto, on the following dates and times:

  • March 26: 2:00pm-7:00pm
  • March 27: 8:00am-4:00pm
Q: Will food be available on-site?

While no food will be provided on March 26, there are plenty of options in the Path that is just below the Design Exchange. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided on March 27, as well as beverages.

Q: Can I purchase a single day pass?

We do not offer single day passes at this time.
