Alex is CEO and co-founder of CERT Systems. In 2022, Alex was named a Breakthrough Energy Innovator Fellow by the Bill Gates-led Breakthrough Energy Foundation. He has also been named a Clean50 Emerging Leader and one of Canada’s Next Sustainable Changemakers.
Prior to founding CERT, Alex completed his Ph.D. studies at the University of Toronto, developing a world record solar cell. His work has been published in top scientific journals and been cited over 10,000 times.
