Dr. Fiona Simpson is on a mission to eradicate scars from medical treatments. She is the co-founder and CEO of BioMimir, a medical device startup that uses biomimetic polymers to prevent scars from forming. Her team envisions a new standard of healthcare where regenerative medicine is affordable and accessible to everyone in need, globally. She received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Université de Montréal as part of a team which is at the forefront of eradicating corneal blindness.
