Shelley Li

Shelley Li is a Director at CIBC Innovation Banking, where she delivers strategic advice, cash management and funding to innovation companies at each stage of their business cycle, from start up to IPO and beyond. She is a recipient of The Peak’s 2023 Emerging Leaders award for Finance & Investing.

Prior to CIBC, Shelley worked as Vice President, Technology Banking at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). She played a pivotal role in building and expanding SVB across Canada as one of the first 13 employees in Toronto. She had also worked at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and HSBC Commercial Banking.

In her spare time, Shelley volunteers as the Toronto Chapter Lead for Canadian Women in Venture Capital, and serves on the Membership Committee of the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA). Shelley holds an MBA and BBA from the Schulich School of Business.
