Sanjay Zimmermann

Sanjay Zimmermann is a venture capital investor and General Partner at White Star Capital. He is based in Toronto and co-leads the firm’s North American Seed Fund while maintaining an active role in their Early Growth Funds.

Rothschild & Co: Before entering venture capital, he worked in Investment Banking in London, focusing on cross-border M&A within the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) team.

Entrepreneurship: Earlier in his career, he produced a video series titled Defining Entrepreneurship, for which he interviewed over 60 entrepreneurs globally.

Education
MBA: INSEAD (with an exchange at The Wharton School).

Undergraduate: Babson College (BSc in Business Administration) and the London School of Economics (General Course).

Personal Background
Zimmermann has a global upbringing, having been born in Germany and raised in Canada. He holds Canadian, German, and Indian nationalities. Outside of his professional life, he is an avid tennis player and a fan of the football club Werder Bremen.
