CFO & Co-Founder | Growcer
Alida Burke is the co-founder and CFO of Growcer, a Canadian company that’s been enabling hyper-local food production for over a decade with its modular food infrastructure. She launched Growcer with her co-founder while a student at the University of Ottawa and now manages the company’s internal operations, human resources, and financial management. Growcer was bootstrapped for 7 years, a significant feat for a capital intensive, hardware-based start up, before raising a $3M Series A. With the recent acquisition of their U.S. competitor, Growcer now has a network of 1000 growers around the world who are providing local food to their communities. When Alida is not managing the behind-the-scenes at Growcer you can find her curled up with a good book.
