Sultan Mehrabi

Sultan Mehrabi is the Managing Director at DMZ Ventures, where he partners with early-stage founders to help build high-impact businesses. Previously, he co-founded Zensurance, an insurtech startup transforming commercial insurance. The company was acquired by The Travelers Companies Inc. in 2018.

Sultan began his career as a Software Engineer at Cisco, working out of undergrad before transitioning into strategy and entrepreneurship. His passion for web technology started in the mid-1990s, when he built and ran a sports website during his undergraduate studies. A lifelong learner, he holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, an MSc in IT from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a BSc in Computer Science from RPI.
