Bryan Watson

Managing Director | CleanTech North

Bryan Watson has served as Managing Director of CleanTech North since 2012, providing strategic and capital stack advisory, SR&ED and other financing solutions, and clean technology project support, while helping companies maximize Canadian Clean Economy Investment Tax Credits and related incentives. Widely regarded as a pillar of the Canadian cleantech sector, Bryan was honored with a 2021 Clean50 Award and a 2025 Clean50 Top Project Award for his leadership in forming (and currently Co-Chairing) CPA Canada’s Green Tech Working Group in 2023, facilitating key discussions with the CRA, Natural Resources Canada, and the Department of Finance on the Canadian Clean Economy Tax Credits. In addition he is a Founding Director of the Ontario Clean Technology Industry Association.

Bryan has held leadership roles across Canada’s innovation and investment ecosystems, across the capital stack, including as Executive Director of NACO Canada and Angel Investors Ontario, Partner at Flow Ventures, and SVP at Venbridge (now Easly). He has served on several boards, including Enthusiast Gaming (TSE: EGLX), advised growth companies, and sits as an expert and reviewer for many federal and provincial organizations. He holds a Master’s from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, where he was Canada’s sole British Council Chevening Scholar.
