Speaker Yishel Khan


Yishel is passionate about combining medicine with technology to create disruptive solutions to better the healthcare system and personalize medicine. A global entrepreneur with nearly 10 years of experience in founding companies from ideation to over millions of dollars in valuation.
After graduating from McGill University as an electrical engineer, she founded DOT Mind Unlocked to make mental health therapies more personalized, measurable, effective and accessible. DOT uses a data-driven approach, using a wearable headset, to diagnose and treat different mental health conditions. She has raised funding, built a solid team, and received numerous accolades for innovation, medtech and women empowerment. Yishel manages and operates DOT in the US, Canada and in Pakistan.
Yishel has also co-founded SleepLyfe (subsidiary of Vitalus Health), a platform driven by waveform AI-based scoring of sleep data and diagnosis of Sleep Disorders, with a US-based investor. She has helped the startup through the ideation, technical development and launch of a web-based platform for sleep clinics, acquiring a valuation of over $12 Million.
She is affiliated with the Texas Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Founder Institute, Hacking Health, Next Canada, NextAI, Standard Chartered Women In Tech, She Loves Tech and many more.
Prior to DOT, Yishel was a software developer at Ericsson Canada for 3 years, working on 5G technology. She also led the Women in Leadership Chapter in Ottawa and was on the committee of the Youth Leadership Program, where she established the Ottawa Ericsson Incubator.
