Jack Fraser is Partner, Growth Venture Co-investment Fund, and has more than 30 years of experience as an operator and financier, primarily in digital media and e-commerce. He joined BDC in 2019.

Jack began his career working with large Canadian banks, and then moved into operations with several high-growth companies in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. He has been involved with many aspects of operations management and strategy development, including market entry into various countries in Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), online marketing, business intelligence, tax structuring, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. As a mentor to numerous entrepreneurs across the country, Jack has supported the development of some of Canada’s most recognized digital retail brands. He has held COO, CFO and other executive positions throughout his career, most recently as the head of finance with SSENSE, a Quebec-based luxury fashion e-commerce group.

In addition to an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Jack also has master’s degrees from York University and Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Guelph. He has served on the boards of several for private, public and public-private partnership groups, and as an operating partner for various private equity groups.
