Rhea Mehta, Ph.D. is a healthcare and wellness innovator who has been working at the intersection of science, digital health technology and holistic medicine for over 10 years.  She is the co-founder of Bowhead Health, an innovative Canadian company leveraging blockchain and privacy-enabled technology to help chronically ill and healthy individuals track, own and manage their health and wellness data. For the past two years, Bowhead has been working with pharmaceutical companies to facilitate the launch of digital patient monitoring programs on Bowhead’s Better app, focusing on diverse patient recruitment, transparent e-consent capture, and the distillation of real-time health data insights. Bowhead just released a case study with long-time partner Eli Lilly highlighting the details of their transformational digital migraine program that benefits researchers while enabling patient data ownership, privacy, and security. Dr. Rhea Mehta has a Ph.D. in Molecular Toxicology from the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Waterloo, with over 15 scientific publications. She is also an industry advisory board member for the top-ranked McGill University’s Masters in Management Analytics program and serves as a longtime ambassador of Sandbox, a global community of passionate trailblazers seeking to create a significant impact in our world.
