Isadore Katz is the CEO of Suometry, a Montreal-based image processing and computer vision start-up providing 3D capture solutions. Isadore is also a mentor and associate at the Creative Destruction Lab program in Montreal. He is an entrepreneur with over 34 years of experience in high technology and has extensive background across multiple domains, including AI, machine learning, cloud and IT infrastructure. He is a recognized expert in the design, manufacture and marketing of optoelectronics and electronics systems. He has been the CEO of four companies and was instrumental to the reinvention of a major Federal program. He has held senior executive positions at companies such as Cadence and Meta-Software. He holds two patents for the design of computer chips. He was the founder and CEO of CLK Design Automation (sold to Ansys in 2017). From 2009 to 2013, Isadore was Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary for Benefits at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he led the development of the Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS) and was instrumental in helping the Department transition to a paperless claims process. Prior to that he was CEO of Chrysalis Symbolic Design (sold to Avant! in 1999) and Lightchip (sold to Digital Lightwave in 2003).
