Andrew is the cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of 1QBit - the world’s first software company dedicated to building applications for quantum computers. He has been recognized as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, is a founding member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Council on the Future of Computing, and regularly presents technical topics to general audiences at venues such as Davos, the UN, government summits and technology conferences. Prior to 1QBit, Andrew cofounded the earth observation satellite company Satellogic and was a founding partner at Minor Capital.
When he is not traveling to advance quantum software, Andrew spends his time in British Columbia, Canada working with the team at 1QBit. Aside from his work on quantum computers, Andrew indulges his passions for kayaking in the gulf islands and exploring practical applications of microbiology; his small laboratory on Vancouver Island is dedicated to experiments with saccharomyces cerevisiae.
