Jeff Booth

Jeff co-founded BuildDirect in 1999 from his first-hand experience with the inefficiencies and high costs inherent with the home improvement and building supplies industry. He led the company through 2 major disruptions to create a fast growing company doing revenues in excess of $120 million and a company value of over $500 million.

He is a Founding Partner of OitoLabs and sits on the Boards of Spud, Terramera, and EZ -Robot, as well as advising many other companies.

Jeff is an active speaker sharing his experience as an entrepreneur and thought leader on the future of e-commerce and how technology is changing the world. He has been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, Inc.com, The Globe and Mail, BNN, Bloomberg News, Fast Company and The Wall Street Journal, to name a few.

Jeff has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization since 2005 and is a Creative Destruction Lab Fellow. In 2015, Jeff was awarded the BC Technology ‘Person of the Year’ Award by the BC Technology Industry Association and in 2016, he was named as one of the most intriguing Entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs.

In his down time Jeff can be found at the lake playing his guitar around a campfire with his family and friends, enjoying watersports or skiing at local Vancouver mountains. He is also dedicated to learning and reads about 50 books a year.
