The CIX Top 20 Selection Committee is composed of technology and innovation experts, academics, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs. Their mandate is to evaluate a random group of submissions against the criteria via online tools, meetings and research. The main criteria include Business Model, Quality of Product, Service Offering, Market Opportunity and Depth of Management.
Before the review process has begun, committee members must make the CIX Content Producer aware of any conflicts of interest with the assigned applications. A conflict of interest exists if there are circumstances with any of the assigned companies that might reasonably be believed to create a risk that the committee member’s decisions may be unduly influenced by secondary interests.
